Kaiyang “Monica” Sun brings broad multi-cultural communication expertise to her current role as Associate Producer at Thoughtful China. Originally based in Thoughtful Media Group’s Los Angeles office, she moved to Shanghai to help launch Thoughtful’s China operations. Armed with a global outlook and commitment to bridging east and west, Monica specializes in social media marketing solutions and client relations. Currently, her focus is on the development of client relationship as well as the development of active online and offline communities around TMG content.

Before joining TMG, Monica served in the international media distribution (IMD) division of Comcast International Media Group. There, Monica successfully initiated and managed online and offline promotional campaigns for the division’s in-language programming in the U.S. Previously, Monica also garnered successful track records at a range of marketing agencies, media and entertainment companies, including a stint in media production at Fox Business Network, and a key role on the marketing team at M80 Services-—an industry pioneer in social media marketing.

Trained as a forward-thinking business development professional with a global perspective, Monica has been involved with campaigns for major leading brands including Burger King, Colgate, Acura, and Microsoft. She holds a BA in economics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China, and received her Master of Communication Management from University of Southern California.
