Terry Horsmon is a business leader and entrepreneur with 30 years of experience in global markets bringing products to market, hiring and training top level teams and generating profit for his clients and their investors. He has worked in every area of the entertainment industry, including music, film, television and digital platforms. Since 2004, Terry has been heavily involved in China’s growing media and entertainment business.

 Terry has a deep grasp of how western companies need to approach China as a business opportunity. He currently is working with a large group of global brands and advertising agencies to create new content for digital platforms in China.  He regularly consults with American producers and distributors of entertainment content who are seeking new opportunities in China’s media marketplace. Terry has been involved with the launch of twenty-two start-up companies, including six companies in China, where he spends nearly all of his professional time.

 As a marketing and project executive at Columbia Pictures, Terry was part of an executive team that launched over 100 films, including a dozen Oscar and Golden Globe winners. He led a long-term effort at Columbia that helped take the company into breakthrough new media distribution platforms and technologies. He also has held executive posts at MGM and Universal Pictures.

 Trained as a management and strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co., Terry has worked with such global brands as BMW, Anheuser Busch, DreamWorks Animation, Accenture, EDS, General Motors and Hilton Hotels. He received his AB degree from Amherst College and attended Harvard Business School’s MBA program. He completed his post-graduate study at Yale University.
